This is my new mantra.

On Thursday B brought home two leftover long sandwiches, and I'm impressed with the Dew Drop kitchen. Good bread! Good cheese and meats! A perfect quantity of that Italian seasoning! Etc. They don't usually have the subs from the other place, but the occasion was the Immigrants' General Strike, in which WLand gave their whole kitchen staff the day off with pay and only had subs on the menu instead. A very creative and progressive way to mark the occasion, I say!

Last night I encountered far too many cranky tourists just arriving in town for the weekend. I don't know what happened on the trip here, but it must have been super unpleasant. And for literally just going from the gym to CVS to home (3,500 steps max), there sure were a lot of them. I spent the rest of the evening holed up at home doing laundry and eating off the long sandwich.

Today I finally finished putting said laundry away, and may go running. It's now 67 degrees and is expected to be similarly lovely tomorrow. Hopefully that puts everyone in a better mood. Later we are taking a trip to the Comcast store, because our cable box finally kicked the bucket and we need another. It was 12.5 years old, not bad for a piece of consumer tech. Nevertheless I expect our relationship to be tested a la Liz Lemon and her boyfriend at Ikea. Wish us luck!

They were much nicer the rest of the weekend, which is fortunate because I had places to be!
