mood: happyhappy
music: Everclear "Father of Mine"

i'm back! i've actually been back at Dook since yesterday afternoon, but i was busy wasting time, unpacking, dealing with mild food poisoning, and hanging out with Eddie and Alexis to write in here ... but that's all done, so yay!

New Mexico was pretty nice, and i got the sense that living there again this summer will be awesome ... especially because i really need to see my friends! didn't see ANYONE over spring break ... AAAHH!!! but i did talk to Chris, Tracey, and AC over the phone, so that is something at least ... Chris only came home for a day and a half, so there really wasn't much chance of seeing him anyway ... oh well ...

so there's gonna be another big Varela group vacation this summer ... Mom, Auntie Martha, Auntie Laura, Michael, and Grandpa are going to Mexico City in July, which is pretty awesome ... and I saw Brian & Yvette and the kids while i was home ... they're all doing fine ... and i lent Keith my Nintendo and Super Nintendo, which i intend to get back this summer when i ship my TV home cos those game systems rock too much ... and maybe i can sell them for a lot of money in like 60 years ...

random thing: i finally talked to people sitting next to me on planes! on the flight home from ATL to ABQ, i talked to this woman from Alamosa who had just come back from a cruise in the Bahamas ... and the guy sitting on the other side of me was a professor who was going to Sun Valley, AZ and he started asking me all kinds of stuff about Dook ... and on the way back, we had landed at ATL and were waiting to get off the plane when this woman sitting in front of me asked about my NMSU hat, and i said i went to Dook, and the woman next to her was like "just a little unknown college" sarcastically ... it was sort of odd ...

perhaps i'll write more about the week later ... but that's it for now ...

Quotes of the Week - "For the customer who left a sandwich at Gate A32, please claim your sandwich at the counter."
"At this time, all cell phones must be turned off and stowed. If you are having trouble turning your cell phone off, a flight attendant will be happy to assist you."
--Delta Airlines employees having fun with passengers ... gotta love it ...
