And that makes you trendy, LJ!

Six years deep, I like Twitter and use it still. But the powers that be sure have stuffed it chock full of ads. Lots of silly "promoted" tweets that are often strange political advocacy and occasionally a begrudged commercial air passenger's vendetta against United Airlines. I would like to think the company could offer a paid account option and plenty of individuals and businesses would fork over a few dollars a month, but that's moot. They've decided how to raise revenue and I'm free to either like it or leave. :)

This week I noticed they've just started to offer polls! Only about fifteen years behind Livejournal, of course. Because Twitter's version must fit within 140 characters, users can only include two options in a poll, and each can only be 20 characters long. Color me unimpressed.

I have grown bored and unhappy with Facebook and twitter. All the feeds or tweets seem to be either about racism, injustice, politics, endless videos, and personal drama. I've decided to start focusing back on my journal and writing again.

I've spent less of my time on FB recently for similar reasons!
