Context included since none of you will remember what I'm talking about.

Remember when I embarked upon my master's project in Flint, in January of 2011?

Well, after a long period of not hearing updates, there is finally a progress report. It won't be ready by next month as the project leads originally hoped, but I'm still happy to see what's going on.

In addition to ripping out the interior, the awful old stucco and siding is gone from the exterior and insulation is going on, the windows are in, and the new roof is complete. It's hard to tell from the angle, but the second photo shows the geothermal wells for the heating system being dug in the adjacent lot; that was a source of stress and uncertainty because no one involved had done a project that included these, but it appears to have gone smoothly. Hopefully future updates will not be four months apart going forward. :)

And with luck, I'll get to see the project in person on my whirlwind tour of Michigan in October. If I schedule it right, I should be able to fit in Lansing, Flint, Ann Arbor, and Detroit. Weeee.
