Can I get a cake? Balloons? Ok, I'll settle for comments.

On February 10, 2002 I received an LJ invite code from someone I didn't know on a college admissions forum and started this blog in the basement computer lab of my freshman dorm at Duke. When I was considering what to say about this (not very major) occasion, it struck me that this blog is a consistent communication medium. Whatever phone number I had in 2002 I don't even remember, and obviously it's not a viable way to reach me. I also no longer use the email address I used back then, and I've done two long distance moves in the last decade, but if you want to get in touch with me commenting on any entry will still work, just as it has for ten years now.

I do value LJ to hear the stories of others, and to meet the many folks I have, and to have a chronicle of my own past ten years, too. But I'm pretty sure I've written those topics to death, so we'll go with this. :) More entries coming this weekend, I hope.

I didn't even know how long I've been on here until now. I had to dig around to find the date, and I too have been here since 2002! But not quite 10 years yet. Someone sent me an invite code and I wrote a lot, but my life was far more interesting then. I also hadn't thought about this . . . but I have the same cell number. I even have the same email account, although it's basically dormant and rarely used.

Happy 10 year anniversary! I'll be sure to check out your 20 year post. ;-)

Nicely done. I suppose I've had the same cell number since 2006, but not quite ten years.
