And here I am throwing away paper from fourteen years ago.

Packing up everything I own again. It's getting easier to do logistically, and harder to do emotionally. I suppose it is fortunate that I plan to stay put in DC for a while, because I just don't want to have to keep moving. But for the moment, I'm pulling out my stores of bags and folders to organize all the crap I'll be keeping. I've thrown out about five trash cans full of stuff (mostly paper) and am getting close to the point where I can start putting things in the car. I leave Friday.

I don't think I got the chance to fully experience Michigan as fully as I would have liked, but on the other hand I think I packed a lot into eighteen or so months (por ejemplo). And of course I could be back someday.

I'm moving to Indianapolis at the end of the month, and you've hit the nail on the head. Logistics become second nature to people like us who move annually, but the emotional part is what gets trickier. I will be thinking of you and your travels as I fill trash cans and box up my belongings again!

Ack, I just found this comment! Good luck with your move, it's stressful but well worth it once you've arrived.
