With apologies to postmodernist academics, I think?

I'm fortunate to be in the position where I meet at least half a dozen new people a week. I'll see some of them again, but my memory of the majority of them is going to be limited to this one interaction, where I implicitly try to match their facial structure, the tone of their voice, their career to someone else I've met once previously in this life. The matches become more common, and now they start to blend together. I think I need to assess more carefully who is unique and why, because we all are. And that's not just a Mr. Rogers-type of proclamation; we are all different, and we all offer something to this world that is not replicable, and I am going to try to explore further how wonderful that is.
