Except this routine I want to repeat.

Have enjoyed more hanging out with people in the last few days. Saturday was gregbarnes' and Dan's going away party, where I spent about three hours meeting new folks and trying to figure out what they should throw away. I also drank almost an entire 2-liter bottle of Diet Pepsi. But at least I didn't drink much alcohol. Dan and Greg are super awesome and I heard many excellent stories about their recent years in Durham; we'll have to stay in touch! Following that I went to see Jon Barnes' new house, which. is. epic. He's renting from the owner (a co-worker), of course, but. 2000 square feet of wine fridges, jacuzzi tubs, and aquariums the size of my couch. I hate the location, but with a house full of goodies like that, I could probably deal. :] Anyhow, we played Wii with Gary for a while, then I spent the night in their guest room.

In the a.m. on Sunday we played some MarioKart, brunched at Guglhupf, then got Jon some medical advice and supplies for his toe that had had a brief encounter with a nail. Following that we braved the rain to drive to Raleigh for Artsplosure. I <3 downtown Raleigh a lot, and we got free Squirt and Diet Sunkist from the sponsors' table. Heh. There were also nifty pottery sellers and a giant sand sculpture, but it was winding down due to the weather, so after a brief hello to virga, we returned to Durham.

Last night, after an epic fail of a work Monday, Chris, Jason, Jason and I had sushi. It was really ridiculously tasty. Spent most of dinner talking about childbirth, haha. Then we went back to Jason R.'s house for a repeat of last Monday's SMNMC, with Chris, Jody, and his BR friend Jeff added to the mix this time. More bloody marys, more tranny talk, more cringe-inducing jokes, more good times.

Today has been sedate; worked too much, didn't do a whole lot else but apparently hurt my right foot walking around. I'm sure that I actually messed it up while running, but it didn't become annoying until about 4:30 p.m. today, when I was only walking up and down the hall. On the way out of the gym (where I did no running or other footwork), I was limping like I had a wooden leg all the way back to my car. Will be calling the doctor in the morning, but who knows if I can get an appointment before I leave for the weekend. Stupid foot. I'd kick it with my other foot if that weren't completely counterproductive.

You're leaving this weekend? :( Are you going to be gone the full 3 days (or will you be back for Stir)?

I dunno whether we'll be back Sunday or Monday; I have to ask Matt and Leland.
