Good, because I'm going to write a bazillion blog entries this weekend.

Currently at the start of a three day weekend. I'm taking Monday off as a credit for the work stuff I was doing last weekend. I'll write about my local adventures of the last week in another post, but first about today. I woke up around 10:45 this morning committed to recovering my house/life from travel-associated neglect.

What I have done so far, mostly because it was pressing and/or on my dining room table:
-Washed last night's dishes, cleaned up kitchen
-Started the laundry; currently 2 loads in, probably 3 more to go. Who knew I owned this much fabric?
-Fixed kitchen curtains
-Febrezed suitcase, duffel bag, gym bag
-Paid cell phone bill
-Transferred $ to savings account
-Ate lunch (I would call it brunch, but I don't know if soup counts)
-Gathered junk to return to the office on Tuesday
-Cut off the tags from sunglasses I bought in March so I can wear them

What remains to be done:
-Remember how to make bullets so these list entries don't look so hideous
-Fix front door lock; a quick screwdriver treatment should do it.
-Buy a few essential groceries (diet soda! yogurt! granola!) and home supplies (dishcloths! pot holders!)
-Take winter coat, 2 suit coats to dry cleaner (anyone have a good dry cleaner rec in Durham?)
-Wash the car
-Tame the hedges/grasses in the backyard. This will probably need to wait until tomorrow when it is cooler. Current temp: 85.
-Send info to my landlady
-Write two work blog entries and one work forum post. I usually detest doing this stuff on weekends, but it will be fairly light. And I don't have to do anything on Monday, of course.
-Figure out budgeting for the summer/fall. Does anyone want to be my money manager? I pay in admiration. :]

I have no idea how people whose jobs entail >50% travel can keep up. To successfully have a home life in that situation would probably require a spouse/partner who is not traveling so much and/or superhuman energy. Fortunately I'm in town consistently for at least a month. All the better to attend Stir, SMNMC, and STNMC.

Heck I'd love to have a job that entails travel. Heck right now I'd love to have a job. :-)

As for your bullets. HTML Tag is "UL" for an unordered list. Then for each item in your list the tag is "LI". Then you of course close with "/UL". If you want a numbered list it's "OL" for an ordered list. "LI" remains the same. And as always remember to close with "/OL".

If I'd only been doing work travel, it would have been fine; the problem was that I also had to do three grad school visits in the last month. So glad to be back home!

Thanks for the bullet tips!

I've been thinking more and more lately that I should just sell the house, shoot the dog, buy a big backpack, and spend the rest of my life doing nothing but traveling.

But I probably won't actually do it. Shoot the dog, I mean ... :)

Sigh, travel on my terms without nagging responsibilities back home would be bliss. I'll have to settle for a beach vacation and possibly some other trips this summer, though.

Polite smiles and compliments about your financial prowess. It's not very good pay. :]
