I don't quite know how, but I'm rather perky this morning. After finishing up the last blog entry around 2:30 a.m., I tossed and turned for a while (my house was too warm) and was able to sleep. I woke up at 8:00-something to the sound of a squirrel or raccoon frantically running around in the ceiling; I hope he finds his way out of there before he dies. D: And despite all of that I feel pretty okay right now, even without caffeine. Doubt this will last, as I got maybe five hours of sleep the previous night too. Why was that, you ask? Well, I suppose I should talk about what I did over the weekend.

On Friday night Matt L. and I were planning to go to a benefit show in Raleigh with some good local bands (well, I'd never heard their music but they came highly recommended) with Josh and Ruthan but it didn't work out as they were selling out of tickets before we'd even left Durham. So we scrapped that and went barhopping instead; Federal, then Revolution, where Leland joined us, then Bull McCabe's, where Tyler and Jason C. joined us. And I got nice and toasty and then Matt, Tyler and I went back to my house where I ate casserole, marveled at a zipper I found in my couch, and showed everyone the Very Large Array on Google Maps. Hah.

On Saturday I woke up at 9:30 for some reason to fetch OJ from the bar parking lot, lol, and was otherwise slothy. Finished one book, returned it, and got some new books that I'm working through them when I have time. And of course it was 71 degrees here that day, so I ran outside, from West to East and back with only minimal panting. Hah.

I woke up late on Sunday but still got accomplished all that I wanted to: good weight room workout, Grammy watching party at Chris' house, and Stir. The Grammy party was me, Chris, Leland, and Matt, and the whole show was kind of ridiculous. New Rat Pack? Miley Cyrus still singing stuff? Meh. Though I did love Estelle's outfit. And Jennifer Hudson was good. Chris visibly squirmed every time Coldplay was on the screen, which was a lot. Then we reconvened at Stir, which was much less crowded than usual, but still with the fun usual suspects, including Jason C., Jason R., Arturo, Teddy, and John. Also, someone was smoking pot in the not-well-ventilated bathroom and it reeked. And I got sick on the way home, which I deserve for drinking Franzia, vodka, and Heineken in one night. D: Sorry, dear digestive system, I still <3 you, I promise.

And that was my weekend! I have to run to pick up a tower of box lunches now.

Oy. Get some sleep!

I once had a week of eight hours. Not in the night. In the whole week.

By week's end, I think i was in REM sleep at my desk. That was interesting!

I will definitely get as much sleep as I possibly can tonight! Looking forward to it. :)
