And a few roaches, but let's ignore those for now.

The ceiling at Perloff Hall, UCLA. Interior design inspiration or example to avoid?

I have successfully lived in my new house since Monday night. Not that I've spent much time both there and awake, but I'm still pleased with my progress. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were all alike: wake up, go to work, come home to change into running clothes, go running, shower, go out and do stuff. Wednesday was watching the RNC and playing Risk at Jason's house, Thursday was watching the RNC at Movie Night at Chris' house with sloppy joes and cupcakes. virga also came by last night after a strange encounter at Sati's. Adam, I'm working on recon for you. I'll yet find a Duke undergrad that only sucks in the good way. :)

I'm looking forward to putting together more curtains and blinds, and setting up the wireless router this weekend (I have internets only through ethernet right now), and to not having to look at John McCain's face anymore. Yay good times? Hopefully I'll also get a haircut. I don't feel very motivated to do more beyond that, particularly because it's supposed to Hanna-rain for the next couple of days, but do feel free to drag me out for social times anyway.

o.O that's new...it also reminds me of some sort of industrial mesh that i feel like i've seen in various industrial places... (between food processing, food service, airplane MROs, airports, and other stuff, I'm beginning to lose track of where I've seen what)

Yeah, I'm not sure what the material is, but it's definitely something industrial that's been repurposed.
