Forgive any typos, my eyes are still stuck shut.

I'm at RDU, awaiting my flights to Orange County. Just like one of my trips last year, Station 9 saw that I would need an early alarm to get up and kindly rang the fire alarm at 4:50 a.m. >:( I'll miss a lot of things about my apartment when I move, but this is definitely not one of them. At least I have a well-rehearsed evacuation plan?

Anyway, I managed to get all my packing done last night and got about four hours of sleep before that happened, so I should survive until the conference events end tonight at 10 p.m. PDT. Maybe. I even stopped by the office to set my out-of-office message on my e-mail and get a piece of paper I needed on the way here. Now I'm parked in the remote parking, through security, and have indulged my bad airport habit: Popeye's breakfast. It's not my fault that it's directly between the Delta gates! (And it looks like there won't be a Popeye's when Delta moves across the way to Terminal 2 later this summer, but we will have a Bruegger's and a "WE'RE CLOSED!!!"). Today, the woman who took my order was distracted by talking to someone in the kitchen while she put together my order and gave me about 70809890 hash rounds. There is a half-inch deep carpet of them at the bottom of my bag still. *gleefully clogs my arteries*

Okay, I have to do a little bit of work now since I'll be offline most of the day. virga, don't hate me, but I think I'm going to sign up for a Twitter to keep track of other conference attendees.
