music: Aimee Mann "Save Me"

They know what you're not supposed to throw away.

I did some LJ maintenance. Got rid of a couple of communities that weren't doing much for me, and I uploaded new icons (up to 39). Including this one. I have no idea what is going on, and I don't care. :D But if anyone has any idea if there's a backstory on this one, do feel free to share. I was going to get rid of some icons, but I'm getting paranoid archivists' anxieties about my LJ not resembling what it looked like when each entry was written, so I saved them. Bah. And that made me think that the few photos I have posted that aren't saved in my Flickr account should be. Gah. Aaaand I updated my books entry. I'm actually picking up the pace on my reading, somehow.

Not too much else happened today. I slept in a bit at Sam's house since I'd been at work until 8:30 the previous evening, then grabbed a salad and actually went to work. We each got a bottle of champagne for our efforts in the past couple of months, and I regaled people with the story of the stolen champagne in Greensboro at a New Year's Eve party. I also cooked the last of my food for dinner; tomorrow maybe I'll go out grocery shopping. And at about 8:45 I went to the gym and had an awesome workout. Sorority girls should determine all my exercises from now on.

I did want to mention that my Netflix queue sent me Magnolia, and we watched it on Monday. The stories were generally enjoyable, and I really love the soundtrack (mostly performed by Aimee Mann), but. 3 hours and 8 minutes. WHY PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON WHY.
