Classes

Nov. 21st, 2002 | 08:27 pm
mood: awakeawake
music: same songs that've been in my head all week

Today's classes were insane, but at least they weren't cancelled. In Culanth we watched "The Good Woman of Bangkok", which was a good view of Patpong life without some silly non-anthropologists' musings to get in the way ... and yeah, prostitution is not good.

In PPS, we talked about whether prostitution should be legalized, and coming straight from what I had, it was interesting. I got pretty angry at some of the people in class (as usual), and ended up arguing with Prof. Charney and we were trying to cut each other off, which was fun. Ha. Plus he told us about assignments for the rest of the semester, and basically there's only one more memo, followed by a take home final, and we have a whole week to do each one, so cool. I might actually get an A in that class. *gasp-p-p-puh*, to quote Tigger.

Econ section sucked hard, as it usually does. Only like 8 people were there because there was no offer of extra credit, bastards. They probably went to other sections cos we can do that ... and two people left right in the middle of the whole thing, and one girl was visibly pissed off, like "This education sucks! I'm going home!". And since I haven't yet printed out the homework we were covering, I didn't really know what was going on (perhaps less so than usual), but I took notes like a good kid, and they will help me when I start my homework soon. I also ate my baked sweet potato during class, and it was SO good! Yay.

Then I went for a walk and ended up in the LSRC, so I picked up a phone book ... then I came home and took something like a four-hour nap ... eek. So I'm awake, seemingly I will be forever.
