music: Smashing Pumpkins "too many years built into memories ... "

i made it through the last two weeks! whoo hoo! not like i'm going to rehash much of what happened, but let's say i got through my two horrible exams (and hopefully passed) and Ab Fab Week at Dook was fun! i tabled on two different days on the BC Walkway, which was interesting ... i met really nice people (one a HOT potential grad student from UNC and a girl who works w/the Human Rights Campaign at UNC) ... and there were some mean staring people, but i got through it all right ...

last night was supposed to be the last event of the week, an open mic night ... but not many people showed up so we just hung around and listened to Terry tell one of his inane ghost stories that he used when he worked at some camp to make all the kids go to sleep and not ask questions ... it was hilarious ... David also showed up with Juan and took pains to avoid me ... cock knocker ... ha ha ...

then Kelly drove me home and gave me free Diet Coke and Krispy Kreme donut holes that were left over and we had a conversation about SHARE and roommates and stuff ... it was a lot of fun ...

so today i got up at 9:15 and i'm plugging away at my homework ... whoo hoo! i'm gonna go to a men's lacrosse game in a while (we're playing Harvard) and continue my homework there ... it's gonna be quite fun, as long as it doesn't rain, in which case i'm screwed ... okay, time to print like a billion things and find an autobiography in this cavern of a library ...

Quote of the Day - "more fun than a hungover saturday marketplace brunch. i promise."
--Anne, on working in the SHARE garden ... that's hilarious, and oh so true ...

a typical Jonathan moment ...

music: "Hosanna ... Hosanna ... on high" (church'll do that to ya)

so i was contemplating what i'm going to put in this entry about Catholicism and Easter and everything, and all of a sudden i drooled burrito-laden saliva all over the keyboard ... gah, i need help ...

anyway, i just got out of Easter Vigil Mass, and it was awesome! Being in Dook Chapel in the dark (with only candles) is pretty freaking awesome ... also there, i saw Paul and we talked a bit about lacrosse and Catholicism (see below for the lacrosse) ... so anyway, there was lots of candles and baptisms and confirmations and two mountains of Easter lilies on the altar ... yay ...

since i woke up at *9:15* on a saturday, i got a whole lot done! some homework and i checked out the autobio of Richard Wright for writing class, and i already read like 70 pages ... and it's a really awesome chronicle of growing up in the South! yay ... and i went to a men's lacrosse game! we played Harvard and won, 10-7 ... and i must say it seems like the quintessential angry white male sport ... but it's fun to see them bash each other with sticks ...

yeah, that's it ... i think i'm going to mope around the internet and then go to bed ...

Person of the Day - Paul (the only person i exchanged more than a few words with)
Boy of the Day - #43 on the Duke men's lacrosse team ... he rocks my world
