music: Beyoncé "6 Inch (feat. The Weeknd)"

The first thing I've done early all month.

1. What is the last animated feature that you saw and enjoyed?
Inside Out was great, mostly because of the original concept. Before that I may not have seen any animated films since Finding Nemo.

2. What cartoons did you watch growing up? Favorite characters?
Lots. When I was really young Looney Tunes classics were so ubiquitous that I didn't originally realize so much of the music in them was actually from elsewhere. I also remember lots of Animaniacs. A little later (but still way too young to be watching it) the most memorable was Æon Flux.

3. Is there an animated show/film that you dislike?
Not strictly, but there are some animated shows that have long overstayed their welcome (sorry, South Park).

4. How do you think animation could be innovative in the future?
It can likely scale up with further innovation. I doubt Pixar could have produced anything like it did prior to the 90s, and similarly I think there is future potential coming that we can scarcely imagine now.

5. Would you post a link to an animated short or film that you think is particularly special or interesting?
I've always been fond of this Daft Punk video, and it doesn't get the rotation it once did:

Oh my gosh, I'd forgotten about that Daft Punk video! Hehe.

Aeon Flux and the other MTV animation used to scare me. :/

animated series really need to know when it's time to off the air. south park, simpsons and family guy are all looking a bit too long in the tooth.

I fail to understand how there can be any plot lines left for them.

satire doesn't really need a plot, though. it just needs a topic cultural touchstone, and you go from there. that said... those shows could go away, to allow for fresher ideas to come forth.
