But I also cleaned out the coffee urns so let's round up to 50.

Two-day work week! Well, sort of. I'm taking Thursday and Friday off, mainly to ensure my vacation balance doesn't exceed what I can roll over at the end of the calendar year. And on Wednesday, we have an all-day departmental retreat, at another office a few blocks away. The change of scenery will be nice, I suppose, and I'm bringing notes from prior iterations of these events so that we don't have to start at zero again. With a new VP in charge this time, it's possible there will be actually new content, but one never knows.

One supposed highlight is that we'll be hearing from three of the employees that have been with the company for thirty years or more. Which is super impressive and also a little intimidating. I am looking forward to that. And the free lunch. And the four-day weekend after that. :)

I would be ok staying with one org for most of my career if there was growth and variety in the roles I played over time. It appears our guests have done that, at least.
