Work neighborhood murals prove the BID* is good for something!

Daylight is lasting until almost 5:30 in the afternoon by now, and I couldn't be more glad to see that. It does appear from our forecast that we'll have weather** coming in Sunday night through Tuesday, so I did my best to soak up the sun while we've got it. I don't expect more than a tiny bit of snow, but even that could be enough for everyone to call off work around here.

If you're new to this LJ, my favorite seasons in order are: summer, spring, fall, winter. So this isn't really my preferred time of year. :)

* Business Improvement Districts. Ours in DC are largely marketing shills that put on useless stuff like yoga in the park. But some of them also employ the formerly homeless, so that's a benefit.

** I suppose we're always having weather, but I've taken to saying this when bad weather is coming.

No snow again this winter in my neck of the woods. Roll on spring!

Enjoy it. Our snow just began a couple of hours ago, and I half-expect work to be called off tomorrow.

Haha, thanks to the knitting site I'm on I thought of the drama-infested (but fun to lurk on as long as you never post) group called Big Issues Debate when you said BID

Never had the pleasure, but sounds like a guilty pleasure.

My preferred seasons follow the same order. I really like the first three, not so much the last one...

Truth be told, I would move in a second to a place without winter if career/life could follow. Los Angeles would be a prime candidate.
