Running is easy.

It's life that gets in the way.

Yesterday afternoon I desperately wanted to run outside, rather than on a machine in a windowless room, given that the temps were finally reaching the 60s and our snow had finally melted. But before I could, I had to go to work to retrieve my gym clothes. Which entailed driving, meaning that I first had to gas up the car. Which meant navigating lots of traffic that I was not feeling super patient about.

But I did it, and it was well worth it.

And all of you folks in more wintery climes are welcome to make fun of us. But I am just tired of winter and have been coping by avoiding it. :)

No, I won't give you crap for hating snow ... but I WILL give you crap for all the car exhaust you inhale on a run like that. :)

That is the major downside to running where I do!

I saw that recently! Pretty nifty.

Of course it snowed today so I'm back to the machines on my 2x/week cardio for the moment.

When I was in D.C. last fall, I saw a lot of runners in the National Mall area and thought that it would be pretty cool to be able to go running there on a regular basis. Do you run in the summer, or does it get too hot/humid?

Yes. As long as it is over 65 degrees I will run. The heat doesn't keep me away from it the way the cold does.
