That is guava paste if you have never had the pleasure. Brian was in charge of our bimonthly potluck/cooking and wine night this time around, and he chose a Cuban menu. Apparently a popular dessert from his childhood in Miami is slices of this stuff and cream cheese served on Cuban crackers. It sounds super weird, but is amazingly tasty.

Finally, a reminder: if you'd like a holiday card, leave your address on this post by noon EST Thursday. I'll be sending the final batch of cards after that. And thanks to everyone that has already done so!

That sounds interesting. I like guava juice/nectar, but I've never had it in other forms.

It's a flavor my boyfriend grew up with regularly, so I've adapted to it.
