I don't, but I do have a pantry full of canned ravioli.

I'm just now back up to speed after being unable to use LJ for most of the week. I tried this morning to piece together exactly when I lost the ability to access the site, and it looks like sometime on Monday. I still received one emailed comment reply that day, but couldn't get to the site at all until yesterday, couldn't log in until last night, couldn't read my friends page until this morning and couldn't reach the Post Entry page to make my own entries until a couple of hours ago. It looks like I was somewhat worse off relative to at least the folks on my friends list that have posted. The whole thing makes me a bit cranky, because even though I have other blogs (as well as Facebook and Google+) this is where I put any entries longer than a sentence, as well as where I can use the granular privacy settings to post personal and professional stuff I don't want anyone to be able to find. Yet I'm still here, so ... congratulations LJ on making yourself indispensable even with frequent outages.

The week has been fairly eventful. I got my first paycheck from Job Job* today so I can finally stop sucking the life out of my savings account. I think that some furniture for the apartment is in my near future. I also will likely be going to New Mexico in late September for my ten-year high school reunion and am pretty excited about that. I haven't been there since Thanksgiving! If Brian is able to go there will also be epic touring happening.

Yesterday was Employee Appreciation Day as well as my last day at Internship, so we got a development tour of the Waterfront/Navy Yard/ballpark areas, followed by the outing to the Nationals game. I have photos somewhere and maybe I'll get off my lazy duff this weekend and post them here. The Nats lost pretty handily to the Marlins, but Peter, Stephanie and I were more focused on the beer and pulled pork sandwiches. We also got some good conversations in with co-workers and got epically sunburned. Yet another reason I love summer. I went back to the office after the 8th inning, packed up my cube and said goodbye to folks, and got home around 5:15 to inhale leftover pizza. After a long nap, I cooked a real dinner and laid around, then went to Cobalt to say hi to Brian. Of all people Michael M. was there and we caught up for a while. He is in grad school at Maryland and living on U Street so hopefully he'll be around more often. After that I briefed Brian on his late-night dinner options at home and left.

Wednesday night we were briefly at #9 and chatted with Shannon, Tristan and Keith. I'm not entirely sure I trust Keith's Captain America story, but it was amusing nonetheless. Tuesday I had a closing chat about planning careers with Sarah Jo at Baked and Wired, and she gave me some pretty boss ideas for how to think about my next steps. Monday night we were briefly at Cobalt and DIK Bar with Brett, Elliott, Patrick and Kevin, playing trivia games that required more color vision ability than I have. We did switch to Photohunt and it was muchly amusing to hear Brett just shout the differences she spotted from afar. From there we ended up at JR's for Travis R.'s going away party (not that I really knew him). I think that about catches me up, until the next time Livejournal goes down for most of a week.

* Will be known simply as "Job" from here forward as Internship Job (aka Unpaid Job) has ended.

I am trying to convince Michael to come to my 10 year reunion, but it's not happening. I think he is convinced it will be a bunch of people talking about things about which he knows nothing. Blah.

Bah! I'm sure he'd have a good time. When is yours?

I can't believe you're done with grad school, living in D.C. and soon going to your 10 year high school reunion. What happened to the snot nosed kid who was trying to figure out what grad school to go to and had the hot waiter at Marix all hot and bothered? He's all growed up! That would be good if it didn't make me OLD. LOL

It was only a two-year program so it hasn't been that long! I promise I still don't actually know what I'm doing when I grow up.
