I think I'm getting secretary eyes.

Don't tell me that's not real. Unless you're a secretary. In which case why are you reading my blog and not working?

Well, let's see; it's been an eventful couple of days. (It's almost February! I used to hate February! But now I don't care that much.) Last night I was merrily working away at the office while our newest gallery opening occurred outside my door. I ran in to the celebration briefly to wish the gallery coordinator a happy birthday and steal food and red wine. Pam made me open new wine bottles for her, but it was a small price to pay for the fabulous food. (The cake was red velvet without the red, lol.) Sam and I had plans to cook dinner, but he called as I arrived home to say that his truck was on fire (!!), so I drove to Chapel Hill to rescue him from the side of 15-501 (yes, every U.S. highway has a Wikipedia entry; scary, huh?).

I had some trouble finding him and the police and firefighters were already gone, but fortunately that also meant that his truck hadn't actually been on fire much. A tow truck arrived and carted off the Big Blue Monster to a repair shop, and I carted Sam back to his house, where we ordered Chinese food and watched Blood Diamond. I give it a B; it kept my attention, and Jennifer Connolly did a decent "I'm a hot Western activist lady trying to save Africa and all but I might have time to fuck you" role, almost as good as Rachel Weisz in The Constant Gardener! Nevertheless, Leo needed to work on his South African accent some more, and some of the scenes were just retarded; I'll resist the urge to post spoilers, but let's just say that the script needed a little work.

This morning I drove Sam to school and then came to work. I've been making travel plans and staring at meeting notes for too long; my eyes are going to break. Of course, the best thing to do in this case is to stare at this screen even more by blogging at length. Go me. I did get a ton of shit done today, though. And I'm probably here until 6:30, so I'll continue to pull things off of my horrifically messy desk.

Well, that was in November. But it's different now. I have wicker in- and out-boxes! Also, I have since run out of Kleenex. :(

Yes, on Saturday at Chris' house. You RSVP'd yes on the Facebook invite, so go see it for details.

And bring Michael if you want. :)

Sam will be there. Though Jonathan and Sam have to go to Sarah's anti-law school prom party first.
