Good sore throat treatment, and the best thing ever in general.

So I have been extremely negligent in providing my emo updates about my Thanksgiving trip to New Mexico. Well, since I have six days of vacation and I don't feel like going outside, here are, as promised, 30 photos from that random jaunt.

So basically my aunt got married, and we drove around for six days. That's all you need to know.

1. The bride, with the car

2. Big sky, with the foundation for my cousin's house in the foreground

3. Decorating the padrinos' car

4. The bride with two of her chilluns. Peeking over her right shoulder is my other cousin Armando, who was in Iraq at the time.

5. The bride with some of her grandchilluns

6-8. The location of the outdoor portion of the wedding. La Virgen de Guadalupe ownz j00.

9-10. More pre-wedding photos

11. Chapel entrance at the monastery

12. Outdoor portion of the ceremony. I think I'm gonna ask Father Paul to wash my whites for me.

13. Post-ceremony. The dude with the white hair is the elusive groom.

14. Champagne toast on the side of the road ... 'cause we're ranchy like that =)

15. My mom and aunts and uncles claim that this is the spot where they used to go to drink and be scandalous when they were teenagers. Oookay, definitely not where I would want to go on my wedding day.

16. Bride and groom entering the reception. I helped build that autumn arch!

17. Cake!

18. My parents' bedroom with new wallpaper. Their hobby is to continuously remodel the 2nd floor of the house.

19. Entrance to my brother's new house in Albuquerque. No grass allowed! Xeriscaping for all!

20. From my brother's neighborhood to the other side of Albuquerque (where the mountains are) = 19 miles!

21-22. Driving down the mesa

And then on the way home, I had a six hour layover in DEN (in on Frontier, out on Delta). So I used my camera to entertain myself.

23. Pulling up to the gate. This is why Frontier's livery is awesome.

24. Dale the Dall Sheep on our A319 winglet.

25. US Airways' baggage trucks.

26. Chillin' on the airport capstone/time capsule/sundial.

27. And I have no clue what the Masons had to do with it.

28. What's holding up the roof of Jeppesen Terminal

29. Look, we're in the middle of effing nowhere!

30. Security checkpoint. So shiny!

In the month since then, I've literally taken 4 photos, so no more of these posts until I get off my ass and change that.

Sigh ... I love New Mexico. And from the looks of those photos I'd probably like your family, too! :)

I'm sure you would like my family; we get along very well with everyone else, just not each other. Hence the reason we get married so much. :D

The priest's whites are ridiculously immaculate!

Nice cars, btw.
