mood: soresore
music: Nina Simone "Mississippi Goddamn"

Even though I'm so sore I feel like someone threw me down a well.

I returned from New York on Thursday night. However, getting back into my workout routine from summer (with two months of no exercise except running) on Friday and Saturday has left me so sore I don't really feel like moving. That, and I never feel like leaving my bed because it's chilly and I bought an amazing egg crate mattress pad at Blood Bath & Beyond. =)

But I finally got off my ass and out of the house, and I'm at Perkins with reliable internet access, so here are some photos from New York:

I must have walked like 300445 miles last week.

And these shoes survived it. My black shoes did not.

View from my hotel room.

Deutsche Bank @ 130 Liberty Street. More than any other building, it just makes me sad. It's been sitting there for over 5 years completely empty.

Corner of Trinity and Liberty.

Skating rink at Rockefeller Center. They were playing Sinatra. =)

Corner of Thompson and Broome.

From Central Park, facing south. My hotel is the slender one on the center right. Though 46 stories, it looks pretty shrimpy next to that giant thing in the middle. =)

Central Park.

Hearst Tower. I effing love this building, even though they really didn't do anything with the base building at all.

When I next write in here, I will actually tell you what I was doing there. Because I'm obsessive like that.

That Thompson/Broome picture is so out of place. And so close to my home!
